we have 52 weeks a year that people VOLUNTARILY come through the doors of our churches. Are we ready for them?

Even our dog’s a girl

Hey there! We’re Dave and Darcy Sauer, currently part of the staff at Adventure Church of Yuba City, CA. I’m the Executive Pastor and Darcy is the Childrens Director. We strongly believe that the local church is the primary strategy, PLAN “A,” to reach the world.

Our passion for the church blossomed more than 25 years ago when we began attending our local church, Mill Creek Four Square, and casually volunteering in the nursery. Ever since, we’ve remained engaged in various capacities.

Team Work

Building Your Team

Creating a team is crucial for church ministry. To become a church that multiplies rather than duplicates, having a dedicated team is essential to bring that vision to life.

Objective one – Team that helps do what you do.

Build a team that helps with what you do.

Building a church team that supports and complements your efforts is essential for the success of your ministry. This team acts as a vital backbone, working collaboratively to assist and enhance your capabilities. Their collective skills, commitment, and shared dedication amplify the impact of your work, fostering a sense of unity and purpose within the church community.

Objective two – Team that does what you do.

Building a church team that mirrors your mission and vision is paramount in achieving collective success. This team becomes an extension of your passion and purpose, working harmoniously to fulfill the church’s objectives. Each member contributes unique strengths, skills, and perspectives, creating a well-rounded and dynamic group.

The Difference between plateauing and growing!

Duplication vs. Multiplication

Duplication – 5 signs a church is plateauing

  1. Sunday Church – The same people serve for almost everything and the people attending leave the serving up to others.
  2. Weekday Office – The same 15-20 people are always stopping by the office.
  3. Local Churches – People are attending multiple churches for multiple things in the community. The shinny penny theory.
  4. Outreach – Events become what’s best for us, not what is best for them. (The Lost)
  5. Small Groups – Multiple Groups have many of the same people.

Multiplication – 5 signs a church is growing

  1. Sunday Church – More than 20% of the people attending are enthusiastically serving and people are constantly asking how to get involved.
  2. Weekday Office – Variety of people come into the office.
  3. Local Churches – People have a high level of loyalty to your name here church.
  4. Outreach – Events are also for the community, they are easy to get volunteers for and people can’t wait for the next one.
  5. Groups – Dozens of groups on and off campus with 90% unique attendees.
